Uncle Divsy Pafe was known to me through my cousin and brother Richard F. It didn't take long for him to accept me as one of his own. After a tragedy struck, our friendship grew stronger. He was incredibly sympathetic, and it was because of his help that I grew up morally strong and accepted what had happened. To be very honest, I didn't understand Divsy. He had a terrific sense of humor and there was never a dull moment when he was around. He would smile at everything and be concerned about nothing. He would tell the strangest jokes, forcing me to laugh or grin even while I was going through the worst of circumstances. We could talk for hours about both profound and meaningless topics (according to me).
He adored nature and had a lovely way of describing his time spent in his garden. You'll think he traveled to heaven and back when he tells you his story. Oh, my gosh!
Uncle Divsy Pafe, you have left your glorious footprints in the sands of time. Your name will live on for a long time, and your narrative will be passed down through generations. You left your body in Bulgaria, and this is the longest distance we will ever have. But I won't cry since you've gone to a better place and I know we'll meet again. You may no longer be among us, but I will always remember you as a winner who lived life to the fullest. May your soul find serenity.
